Okay, I've been here a little over 24hours and I haven't blogged for a while in general so I thought..why not!
In the day that I've been here I have done so much. Visited my schools, met all the teachers, figured out my route from the flat to the schools!!! Walked around ALOT!!!!!
Siestas are the way forward, sadly we have no need for them in the UK, although try telling students that! :)
This place is so picturesque and very, very hilly....I should've worked out a bit before I arrived!! And the bars, restaurants ans cafes are a dime a dozen..totally spoilt for choice. Everything is pretty cheap too!!
So I get the keys and (for the first time) see my flat tomorrow, which is just off the main square...Calle del Sol!
I'll have much more to write tomorrow!!!

(500) Days Of Summer
So this film got me thinking...if you could have one movie-esque experience in your life, what would it be???
No doubt if I asked myself the question next week, the answer would be totally different. But for today, I'd definitely chose...striking up a conversation with a stranger in a bookstore....being the girl sitting on the floor with her headphones on...up to her neck in obscure titles. Then starting a whirlwind romance with the boy a few shelves across who shares your love of prose.
What about you? I really want to know.

All Good Things Come To An End
I've decided it's time to retire the summer blog...let's face it, we never really had one! I have no doubt that the first few posts of this blog are going to be extremely emotional and hard to write...only 11days left now. I still feel like I've got ages before I have to leave but I really, really haven't.
It's not the moving away that gets me upset...I have no problem with that. It's what I'm leaving behind. It's not the same with people from home..we're all over the country anyway and I'm already used to that...it's the people I've spent the past two years of my life with. Two incredible years. It's never going to be the same, we're never going to be in Uni together again....as much as we don't want it to be, everything will be different when I go back. I am truly upset that I'm not getting to spend this year with you and I don't think it really hit me until today.
When I was making the playlist, I was happy, thinking about all the fun times we had in flat4....when we were all together! Then I made the mistake of listening to it...and I couldn't even make it through the first song without crying. So I am going to apologise in advance for the emotional wreck that I am undoubtedly going to be next Thursday.
On a brighter note, Thursday is going to be a reunion (albeit for one night only) as well as a farewell. AD is coming back from the US and so we are going to party like it's 1999.... :)
Another good start to this new blog is how much I can say I loved (500) Days Of Summer....a beautiful film...<3 JGL.
